REPORTING SYSTEMS

HomePro does not take a “One size fits all” approach to report writing. Two different styled reports are currently available. While a home inspection is an education, the report is the textbook. A good home inspection accurately documents the condition of the home at the time of the inspection. They are both available in printed and electronic format. HomePro’s reporting system is tailored to the need of the client and is available in both printed and electronic format.  It allows the homebuyer to make a more educated and informed purchasing decision.

The Home Book

The HomeBook is a 300-page manual that describes the building materials and differentiates between minor and major problems. Problems as well as potential solutions are described and illustrated. Maintenance tips are suggested for each component. The life cycle and cost guide projects life expectancy and replacement costs. The HomeBook is an invaluable guide for future reference. The advantage to the HomeBook report is that both the client and the realtor walk away with a field copy.

The report subdivides the house into eight major systems: Structure, Electrical, Heating, Plumbing, Basement /Crawl space, Kitchen, Interior and Exterior. Each printed tab sheet lists all of the problems in one corresponding category. A field copy is printed on-site. An electronic version with pictures of the major problems is emailed to the client and agent the following day. Here is a short youtube video that can offer greater insight: Video

3D Inspection Systems

3D is a less wordy report that incorporates more photographs. It is based on the philosophy that a picture is worth a thousand words. The advantage to the 3D standard home inspection report is that it provides a detailed room by room, as opposed to a system-by-system format. The report is subdivided in more primary areas of the building: Site; Exterior; Roof; Porch/patio/deck; Air Conditioning and Heating; Basement/Crawl space/Slab; Electric; Plumbing; Water Heater; Laundry; Kitchen; Bath(s) & Powder room(s); Interior rooms- Living, Family, Dining, Bedrooms; Fireplaces; Garage; and Attic .

The format is different, more photographs of major and minor problems are incorporated. The summary contains a list of minor and major points of concern. There is less text. This report is only available the next business day. Click here to view a sample report:

HI Reporting System

The HI Reporting System is a paper-free report that provides a thorough description of all building components. Like the HomeBook, the report subdivides the house into eight major systems: Structure, Electrical, Heating, Plumbing, Basement /Crawl space, Kitchen, Interior and Exterior. Potential solutions are offered. Both major and minor problems are summarized. Similar to the 3D report, there are more photographs provided. This report is only available the next business day in an electronic format.
